Bought this discounted September 2011 issue of Heavy Metal magazine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I recognized the artist<\/a> before I saw the Imaginary Friends Studios<\/a> label in the cover.<\/p>\n

I stumbled upon ArtGerm’s art<\/a> back in the deviantart.com<\/a> days ( Those days when I visit the site regularly ).<\/p>\n

That was even before IFS<\/a> involvement in the Lamb animated movie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I’ve been a fan of his character Pepper ( see Pepper Project<\/a> ( and this<\/a> )) which I think is the one in the cover.<\/p>\n

The table of contents of this issue points out to several deviantart.com<\/a> artist gallery links.\u00a0 ( Including kunkka<\/a> another favorite of mine. )<\/p>\n

I think Chester Ocampo<\/a>, an artist we interviewed before in TheLair<\/a>, still works with IFS.\u00a0 ( Though I don’t see his name involved in the Heavy Metal issue ( I was hoping he was ( especially after seeing his latest awesome witchblade artwork<\/a>. )))<\/p>\n

Nice to see their artworks in this issue. I like to see more ‘digitally created\/enhanced’ artworks inside Heavy Metal.<\/p>\n

I’ve been playing around with several iPhone graphics\/photo apps.\u00a0 Even mentioned some of them<\/a> before.<\/p>\n

But I still can’t arrive at a combination that really satisfies me.<\/p>\n

Resizing before uploading doesn’t help as it destroys the quality of the image.\u00a0 ( See previous posts. )<\/p>\n

So I’m sticking with this combination-manip for now.\u00a0 ( More later. )<\/p>\n

No resizing… but if you’re viewing the image not on my website that automatically resizes the width to 550, it looks offensively large at 1280.<\/p>\n
