Needless to say, it is one of the best screensavers.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, I found this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.improbablesoftware.com\/machinecode\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Machine Code Screensaver<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.improbablesoftware.com\" target=\"_blank\">Improbable Software<\/a> (through surfing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sofotex.com\" target=\"_blank\">Sofotex.com<\/a>). It has the same &#8216;geekie-Matrix-ie&#8217; feel but I like it better than the other Matrix-look-alike screensavers. <\/p>\n<p>You can customize the pictures the screensaver shows in hex. All you need is to convert it to BMP format. The software recommends grey scaled <font face=\"Tahoma, Verdana, sans-serif\">256<\/font>-color bitmaps (<font face=\"Tahoma, Verdana, sans-serif\">8<\/font> bit), but you can actually use higher resolutions as long as it is greyscaled.<\/p>\n<p>I also tried using colored bitmaps. The screensaver still displays the image but the quality is better when it is dark and grey.<\/p>\n<p>Also from the same site, you&#8217;ll find some fractal-powered screensaver. If you&#8217;re into Fractals, they have this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.improbablesoftware.com\/mandelbrot\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Optimal Mandelbrot Screensaver<\/a> which elegantly depicts the fusion of art and mathematics. <\/p>\n<p>But well of course the effects are enhanced by computers, the fusion of mathematics and machines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For almost three years I&#8217;ve been using SereneScreen.com&#8216;s Aquarium ScreenSaver.
